Default Clutch Kit and Slave Cylinder for $490?
The repair shop says they can get a clutch kit, slave cylinder, and TO bearing for $490. I will be doing the work.
Is that a good deal?

so many details....might wanna start with what is included in the kit. brand, flywheel, etc?

What I've been told is $490 will get me:
clutch disc
PP
flywheel
slave cylinder
TO bearing

Ok the clutch kit brand is Rhino.
Anyone heard of it?

Trust me, spend the money and get a good clutch or just wait until you have the money for a good clutch. You dont want to have to do the job twice and spend more money in the long run.
