car won't move

Default car won't move

my 2000 trans am won't move in any gears, if i have the clutch out alittle i can creep the car along but if i let the clutch out past half or all the way i get a grinding sound. is my trans done? what can it be.

Sounds like your shifter is not all the way in gear....it just started doing this all of a sudden?

I would check your shifter and make sure it didnt come loose.

i got a short throw shifter, but yah it just started doing it. when i have it in first and let the clutch out alittle i can move the car but if i release it half way it will grind. it happened when i was running through the gears.

Could be the clutch,tranny or rear.Check the rear first.

Sounds like you've got a stripped input shaft gear/counter gear. Small amount of force will allow it to catch somewhat, but any more and the teeth will just slip/grind.. Sounds like it's time for a teardown..
