when and how to change tranny fluid on my t-56 6-speed hey guys, i have a 1999 camaro and just wodering how to change the fluid and when to know. also what tpe of fluid i should use. the car has about 87,000.

When to change I do it every 20,000 thousand miles fluid should be changed.Best way to change it is find the drain plug at the lowest part of the tranny is a 3/8 ratchet fitting works to open it drain it out if it looks burnt at all definely needed to be changed.I use the pennzoil synchromesh same as the GM stuff butt couple dollars cheaper I found the pennzoil at autozone.To fill it buy 4 quarts and take the shifter off and pour in threw the shifter.Thats pretty much it.
