Default LS7 clutch right for me?

I've got a pretty stock car - free ram air/lid/exhaust:

1st time to the track and the 60k mile clutch just wouldn't hold.

The car went 13.7@105 - so the mph is good. I'm sure it'd be better if the clutch grabbed.

I plan on doing long tube headers and off road y some time in the near future. Then it's likely over the next couple years that I'll get a LS6 intake, and a cam will follow, along with a tune.

The car will see Drag Radials or slicks in it's future - but it'll be limited until I can afford a 9".

I'd like to get a couple years out of the clutch and be able to run well into the 12's without issues. I'd like to keep the pedal feel light and smooth for now.

Opinions? Ideas?

the ls7 isnt too good for slicks. It is a great street clutch but at the track on slicks you will probably burn it up.

I never had a problem with my LS7 on slicks. Get it for the time being and once you get a 9" go with something stronger
