how do you remove/install a new Slave cylinder?

Default how do you remove/install a new Slave cylinder?

Im picking up a new slave cylinder todays b/c i busted my old one... Do you take apart the slave with a punch?? How do you disconnect it?

There should be a little white plastic sleeve around the quick disconnect line. Just push it in until the line pops out. Then you get to remove the transmission to get the rest of the slave out as it is bolted to the main case inside the bellhousing.

It helps if you gently push inward on the hose itself while pushing the white plastic retainer sleeve. When the white sleeve is fully depressed, you'll be able to remove the hose.

AutoZone and Advance sell a Bendix replacement slave and throwout bearing assembly for less than $100 that has a good reputation with the GTO guys, comes with the bleeder and hydraulic fitting already attached so it's ready to install.
