Default Which Clutch 550rwhp

I just recently had my car on the dyno and it put down 441 rwhp on the motor. We then turned the bottle on and attempted to spray a 150 shop and the clutch did hold at all. The engine reved all the way up with no mph gains. I am currently running the spec stage 3+ clutch wit the spec steel flywheel. The shop told me that the clutch is a POS and to get something better. I mainly use the car as a once a month type deal with occasional street racing and drag racing at the track. What are your guys opinions on this? Any info is appreciated

You should look into McCleod's twin disk set up. Its pricey but well worth it in my opinion.

my clutch slipped on the dyno 2 different days on spray. Both times I left feeling my clutch would not hold.I go to the track and the car pulled low 1.4 60ft.'s pulling the wheels. 3 weeks ago the same clutch out held my ring and pinion in my spooled 12 bolt rear. My clutch is not slipping at the track. It held enough to blow my rear apart. Go to the track and run your car NA the first run to get things warmed up then open up the bottle and make a pass. I bet you don't slip. I could be wrong but it seems like you need a load on the car. I bet you were tuned on a dynojet dyno. I don't think it would have slipped on a mustang dyno. I could be totaly wrong but I can only comment on what I know. My clutch slipped on the dyno and pulled the wheels at the track with a 1.4 60ft. It dosen't slip on the street or at the track and thats what matters

If you decide to go with a new clutch I would recommend taking a look at a Textralia OZ700. It has held over 600 rwtq on my set-up and drives almost like stock on the street.

Good luck.

I'd also check out the Textralia OZ700 Z-grip. Killer clutch and you would not believe the pedal feel for a clutch that will hold so much power.
