Default Pilot bearing question

Hey all.

I realize this is a fairly dumb question of me to ask.. but, I just finished removing the clutch/flywheel on my '00 z28, and I pulled the pilot bearing. My problem is I forgot which side of the bearing was facing the input shaft.

Is the side shown in this picture (the side with the larger metal rim)the side that faces the input shaft, or is it the opposite?

Thanks for saving my ***.

Dan

I just installed my pilot bearing

one side had a chamfer to the inlet of the bearing, the other side didn't

put the chamfer facing the transmission, that way it will help guide the input shaft in
