That’s my old car. Just saw this today. I was wondering where it ended up. I was in a bind for cash when I sold it. The “Gentleman” I sold it to promise to give me a crack at it, if he sold it. I stayed in touch with him for a couple of years and he wouldn’t sell it. Then one day out of the blue I get a call from the guy he sold it to asking if I had anything left for the car. He got my # from the person I sold it to. It’s still listed in the registry under my name

I had a similar experience with my Firehawk. I traded it in to a dealership in late 2004 or early 2005. I don't know how many times it changed hands but I got an E-Mail a couple years ago about the car. The person that was E-Mailing me was looking to buy it and asked about the car's history. He got my E-Mail from the SLP registry. Honestly, I never wanted to get rid of it but I was crunched for cash and had two car payments at the time. I traded both in on a vehicle to lower my payments. I wish I had just stuck it out a bit longer and kept the car. I still have dreams about it once in awhile to this day. I've had tons of vehicles over the years (23 or 24 now) and its the only one I regret getting rid of.
I'm almost afraid to find out what condition its in now. I actually bought my Camaro SS because I missed the Firehawk so much. The Trans Ams were going for far too much money at the time and I found a clean body and a good donor car so it seemed like a fun project to build / restore a functional car. Not only that, but I know the Camaro SS is the same car with different sheet metal and a few interior bits. Interestingly, a Camaro in this color and body style is the first F-body I ever drove and thus, I wanted one like this as well. I'm finally getting the car back to running shape. (The donor ran when I bought it.) I'm probably only a couple months away at most from getting back on the road.

I saw in his description he said and I Quote "The title status is due to flood, I've never ran the complete fax on the car but I did put it up on a lift when i purchased it and i looked at the entire underbody and theres absolutely NO signs of rust or water damage, I'm thinking that the original motor sucked up water and therefore they totalled it out but I'm not 100% sure on that. All body lines are straight and car doesnt look like its ever been wrecked." That thing had a Recon title when I bought it. It had been hit more times than a slot Machine .The passenger door was full of bondo. I found out when I replaced the window motor. Every panel on it had been worked on. But it was sentimental to me and I had big plans to get her right. Glad to see someone put the effort into fixing it.
