Calling all cities to start a 500 horsepowerplus meet.

When I was building my C5 Corvette with twin turbos and nitrous. I realized how expensive and difficult it was to make true 500rwhp plus.

Therefore, I decided to start a list of cars where I live just to see how many would participate and how many there might be. Long story short, Nick (Supra guy) and I asked several people to participate in a committee and hence we had our first successful meet with a tremendous turnout at Racing Solutions Inc. and the next one to be at Hennessey Vipers . The cars that participated ranged from highpowered Vipers, Corvettes, Mustangs, NSX, F-Bodies, and multitude of modified cars.

I soon realized the interest and the bitterness that it caused because it soon segregated the performance community more.

I have provided an example of what may be to come for all cities out there and look forward to your input and your progress.

I have provided a reason for the setup and a mission statement that will help guide your new meets and it will guide you to making it the most friendly and most informative meets and a great turnout if you beat the boards in your area.

It was never designed to say, "Hey I am faster than you!!" but more to show others the efforts, the creativity and vision that you and many others within your city of put forth to making your dream car. Of course, running someone is always fun.

Reason for 500+: Designed to showcase the expense and difficulty it is to achieve 500+ rwhp and therefore was setup for people to share their experiences and trials in achieving it. 500+ is to display each individuals dream cars and how they arrived there. (My goal was just 20,000hp but as you can see that it has far exceeded this)

Mission Statement/Goal: Goal is to inform, notify and receive recognition as the city of the fastest and meanest street cars. To provide a low cost, friendly meet atmosphere without pressure to perform. It is to display the creativity, vision, hard work and efforts placed forth by individuals, teams or car shops. It is to unite the performance community in an all inclusive format and fashion without selfish personal gain and desires.

Reiteration: fate, date and future of the meets will lie on the representatives that have been put in place based on their current success in their respective fields as well as the ability to afford to make 500+ rwhp. There will be other volunteers that will assist us in the making of this event.

(the viper list will grow exponentially due to RSI and Hennessey) the VIPER list may be in excess of 20000-30000 hp alone)
