01 SS vs 01 WS6 shootout tonight

01 SS vs 01 WS6 shootout tonight Well this is a follow up to "lots of talk from 01 mustang".........they wanted to settle it and i was more than happy to flag it. So the first race my buddy jeff bogged a little off the line and alot of spinning, but the mustang had dr's so e stuck right away. As most of you know, once an ls1 get traction, it like the devil on a killing spree 
So the 2nd race, mustang boy complained that the length we decided on wasn't "fair or understood fully" so jeff, with an evil grin on his face was thinking "hmmm my tires are warm this time...... 
so i used my handy dandy trip calc on my ss and drove exactly .25 miles down the road and parked on the other side and stood in the middle of the road (not bewteeen racers but middle of 4 lane street) so i am watching from a 1/4 mile down and i see them both hook like no ones business and about 12.9-13.1 seconds later, jeff beat mustang boy by 3-3.5 car lenghts!!!! So i happily congratulated him and offered a lane next to my SS (mods in sig). we both knew, these cars are pretty much identical, so any mess up, it would be over. Well my cars tires were a little cold cuz it was just sittin in the lovly chicago weather for all that time. We got to the line, little burn outs and then he hooked in a matter of milliseconds, and i fishtailed to the right then to the left allmost hitting the gaurd rail so i let off and hit the brake.......boy i was pissed.....but him being the good sport that he was agreed to a second tun, this time the burnout was hefty! 
Mustang boy flagged the race and our 2 other buddies were down at the quarter mile waiting. 
we we both hooked and he got me off the line, slowly but surly, the ss came roarin past and won by exactly a car. 
all in all, it was a fun night, i dont look at it that i beat another ls1, i look at it that we just found out that another car can beat a mustang gt. and we both sent mustang boy home

yea i was actually thinking of takin a vid of th eraces from the 1/4 mile line with my phone, but didnt. Anyway... i saw all of these races from the 1/4 and the t/a beat the mustang by about 3 and ryders ss beat the t/a by about .75 cars, maybe 1
