Default Indiana courts/title question

Hey guys, I'm trying to get a title for my '93 since the previous owner lost it. It was last titled/registered in Fla (changed hands a couple times since) and the Fla DMV says I can go through the local courts to prove I have ownership of the car and get a title. I have no idea how to go about this and the people at the local DMV seem to be fairly clueless. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Check with your local police department. Our local state-boy post has helped my old man get a couple lost titles back and never had to go to court. I would call a couple other DMV branches for advice too, sooner or later you're bound to get someone who knows what they're doing.
