Coasties Come in I need advice needless to say im a coastie got in a lil trouble at ATTC Elizabeth City, (AMT) so now ill be heading to a boat soon 
im thinking of strikign MK since i feel my mechanical aptitude is pretty high but i also really really wanna get into some type of Law Enforcment. i got a fault disenrollement so i cant put my name on an A school for a year.

What kind of advise do you need. Since your going to a boat and you got in trouble in A scool your probally going to get treated like ****. Especially being a non rate. But if MK is what you want to do go on the boat and start proving yourself and work hard. Being on a boat is fairly tough work but make the best of it and keep your head up. It sucks but you can do it.

MKs do plenty of LE if thats what you are looking for. You will be looked at as a **** bag, just keep your nose clean and work hard and it will straighten itself out. I went to a PB as my first unit and got an alcohol incident shortly after a change of command. Needless to say the new BMCM thought I was worthless, but I worked hard, eventually made rate and left the boat with an LOC, its all water under the bridge now. You will be ok.

Suck it up and do your year, then get your name back on the list.
You know as well as I do that CG Aviation is wayyyyy better than CG big White Cutters.
I was a BM, switched to AMT. Best decision in the world.
