This is a pretty good thread to see going, as it shows there are many who sign that line and serve at the direction of those who don't have to face the rigors of a military life as well as those who do. US NAVY vet, multiple deployments, med retired- 1992.

USN 1959-1980. USS Sablefish (SS-303), USS Corporal (SS-346), USS Jallao (SS-368), USS Grayling (SSN-646), USS Shark (SSN-591). Only came up for air a few times! Present project: 1939 Chevy 2 Door humpback putting in a 2003 LM4 engine/4L65E trans.

One thing I've learned from being a Combat Vet, when someone -anyone- says "Thank you for your service" the proper answer is "You're welcome".

USAF 1998-2006 Vehicle Ops and SF Stationed at Beale (98-03) AFB and Vandenberg AFB (03-06). Saudi, Kuwait (OEF/OIF), and Iraq (OEF/OIF). Medically Retired out d/t complications overseas. I just graduated with my BSN and I am trying to get aboard with the VA to help us very poorly treated veterans. Thank you all, for your service and I pride to be a US Veteran. HUA! Thanks to LS1tech for supporting us as well. It is nice to see.
