Post 9/11 GI Bill out of state tuition I was searching and couldn't quite find the answer I wanted.
I was thinking about doing some college work in my state, then finish my degree in Texas for example. Does the GI bill cover all out-of-state tuition or "up to the highest in-state tuition rate"?
Would I be paying a lot out of pocket to go to school in a different state typically? Has anyone done this?
What's it take to get in-state tuition rates anyways? A proven residency? I'm assuming it's a lot harder than that since they could make a lot more money potentially.

It does, you just have to talk to your rep (call the 800 #). I am currently enrolled, and taking classes in another state Washington vs Oregon. I have also taken it from Tampa Florida vs Oregon. Post 9/11 benefits refer to zip code and cost of living.
