Official announcement was yesterday. It sucks he had to die to get it and it's been a long time coming.

I remember when SEAL Team 10 came through Ramstein very somber day for us up there. Their 12th man arrived from Balad, about 3 hours later. He didn't know what happened yet.
While it will not make his family any more prouder of him, it will hopefully not be the last MOH to be awarded to the so many heroes this war has produced.

I was here on Bagram and attended the memorial service back in 2005. Talk about rough, probably the hardest thing I've ever been through emotionally. I was glad to see LT Murphy receive the recognition he deserves.
I recently read the book written by Marcus Luttrell, The Lone Survivor. It tells the story of what happened and parts of it were very hard for me to read without tearing up. I'm normally not an emotional person, but this really hit home. I recommend it to everyone.
