Default SOM WS6 Track pass

So I've had my car for over 3 years now, and it finally made it down a drag strip. Last year, I made an attempt after my 9" w/ 4.11 gears install, and on the first pass attempt, I mangled the driveshaft on the launch. Now I have a Strange 3" chromoly driveshaft from MWC. My car is full weight (and then some), no scale at the track so I couldn't weigh it. Running 315/35/18 Toyo Proxes TQ drag radials at 20psi.

The first few launches I was wheel hopping like crazy, so I peddled it. I got some tubular LCA's to put in this week also, should help with the hop. After a few runs, I figured out how to get rid of the wheel hop. I was launching around 3000-4000rpms and was just spinning mostly. Best 60' I could get out of the day was a 2.01, I was so disappointed the track shut down because I was trying to get under 2.00. I never once tried a lower than 3000 launch, so I bet if I did, I might have gotten under 2.00. Either way, next time I will be going back on some Hoosier QTP 26/11.50/15 bias ply tires and launching 6000+.

Best pass of the day: 2.01, 1/8: 8.13 @ 91, 1000': 10.34 @ 103. I wish it was a 1/4 mile. What would you guys say my car would be capable of with some real tires? Car has Hotchkis springs and Koni SA yellow shocks, UMI adj torque arm, and UMI panhard in the rear, and this week some Founders LCAs.

I ended up breaking my exhaust hangers on one of the launches, you can see my exhaust bouncing . Hit that 1080p!
This pass was: 60': 2.02, 1/8mile: 8.17 @ 91. 1000': 10.36 @ 103

Sounds nice man! Let some air out of those tires and do a decent burnout. They are great tires! I had a set on my C5 with stock suspension and was able to cut 1.7's when they were bald! I know an F-Body can do better!

Thanks! I know I could have done a better burnout, I wanted to keep some rubber on the tires. I'm going to be getting a linelock sooner for some 2nd gear burnouts. I didn't bother to try less than 20psi. If I end up at the track again before I get some slicks, I definitely will drop the air and try a longer burnout.
