I notice the half-shaft kits are on all those cars as a mod. Seems Ford already knows that will be a weak point.
Quick ETs though but I wish they would have shown the traps speeds.

Not all that impressed until the general public starts to lay down good passes.

I'm trying to grasp what Ford was trying to do with this video... If none of those mustangs are coming from the factory with all those "Ford Racing Performance upgrades" then why the hell would Ford put this video out there?
At least with the Hellcat testing they only put on drag radials to get a better time. In this video, Ford practically upgraded the whole drivetrain to each vehicle to be able to hit those times. I don't get why they wouldn't just do COMPLETELY stock base runs and then a runs with a slick/radial only?

All this shows me is they are useless in stock form, cause even ford cant get em to run stock with out upgrading.
I wanna see the times on street tires and stock everything like most people who buy them will drive them.

All this video showed me was that the new 5 liters run like the previous ones. No gains. Added some weight and a slight increase in HP. Except now they have the potential to break factory IRS parts leaving like they could before on the SRA. You cant build a road race car AND a drag car and sell it for a price a consumer will pay for. So now they will have to upgrade IRS parts to handle the launches of the previous cars.
But i do think the no seats or no exhaust was pretty gay...
And just to touch on the "hero pass" comments. Who goes to the track and reports all the "attempts" at getting the car to do what they want? You go, learn what it likes and what it doesnt... and report the best times. Little hypocritical of this site since we only recognize the "hero passes" of the GM cars... -_-.

From what Ive seen, they are a big leap forward for the mustang on a road course (with IRS, i would expect that) but have no extra potential in a straight line.... if anything the IRS opened up a can of worms that ford hasnt tackled very often. But I wont pass judgement till I see some shops and reputable people get ahold of them.
