Road America on 8-20-06 Well I went to Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin to watch The Speed World Challenge, Gt3 Cup Challenge, Generac 500 ALMS race, and the IMSA Lites. Man what and absolute blast I had there! Everything from the cars on the track to the cars off the track and the cool airplanes that flew over head to put a little show on and the AWESOME Black Stealth Airplane that flew over head; you couldn't even hear it coming, only when it passed in the distance a little ways. I thought the Corvettes had a very loud almost like V12 sound to them in the Speed World Challenge which I thought was kind of different but in the ALMS the Corvettes definitely had that V8 roar. Wow I just can't say how much fun I had up there! If you ever have the chance to see the Speed World Challenge or the ALMS DO IT! Here are some pictures, enjoy!

wow great pics! those are my two favorite sports car series. damn im envious. just wish theyd take the restrictions off those C6R's, that aston martin prodrive team is top notch

I saw both series at Road Atlanta last year...the Astons weren't there but the Saleen S7 and MC12 made up for it...definitely agree that everyone should go see an ALMS event. Don't cheap out though, spring for the pit access and you can get some real close ups with these awesome machines.
