i searched and didnt see this so i hope its not a re-post...but its possible..saw this on another forum and thought it was pretty amazing. enjoy.

that was one of the baddest videos ive ever seen nice find. shockwave does a demo at are base during the airshow. that wall back behind them realy gave a nice effect

haha...I was there for that. I was standing along the fence same side of the camera man just before the 1/8 mile mark. I think I have some hearing loss from that.

They both wanted to go the full 1/4 but norwalk wouldn't let them b/c they said it was to dangerous. Bob Motz tries to burn the sign in the backround every year as tradition.

yeah i think the 1/8 mile thing is a precaution cause they may need quite a bit of distance to come to a stop.

ive seen jet cars in person before but none of them put on a show like these guys.

HEY thats Norwalk! cool vid. Yeah Bill Jr. has let Bob burn the sign down for the past 3 or 4 years it's fun and it gets the hill billies to come.

Yeah, 160 in the 1/8th and knowing jet cars don't come alive until the the back half of the track, I can see where slowing those big ******* down could be a concern!

The description at the bottom of the video says how the chutes on those trucks are so large that the may become entangled. Im sure thats why they only raced to the 1/8th so they wouldnt have to pull the chutes. Those trucks run 1/4 mile all the time in single runs. Norwalks shut off is pretty long as well.
