Trailer hitch
So does anyone actually tow anything with their fbody? I bought this about two months ago since I live by the water
and was wondering if it would be totally red-neck to tow it with my T/A, or should I continue to use my parents SUV on the weekends. Input and opinions welcome lol

I have like 8 marinas in my town and when backing the ski into the water the truck doesn't touch the water, not even the tires. But I would never even consider doing that to my T/A just kinda wanted to get some reactions from it

I've seen a couple of T/A's towing jet skis. i've even seen a Taurus towing one. All it takes is a 1 1/4 hitch and they aren't very noticable. It might be a little redneck but you gotta do what you gotta do. I don't consider the guys with vettes who tow a trailer with their track tires and tools with their ZO6 redneck at all.

To the op, there is several reasons why I would not tow with an f-body. The car might have more power than some of these suvs and trucks, but everything else is not setup for it(suspension, tires, etc). The car is not made for it, and that is why I wouldn't (not because it is redneck). I would just use your parent's suv, or buy something cheap to tow it with.

Well, if your vehicle has to touch the water...you need to find a different ramp. I would like to say, I can not believe how dumb you acted on putting your car in salt water, but I have seen way too many people do it.

Before you start calling people dumb maybe you should realize that that is the only ramp that is available for my riding area.
If your tongue weight is set correctly for a jet ski it would be the same amount of weight on the suspension as having a set of golf clubs in the trunk.
I still wouldnt do it.

there is some vids floating around he of a LT1 towin a small trailer with a bbq on it and racing people...beating them at that too. Actually it was a 383 or something in it but still it was a camaro. I tow a 08 yamaha raptor 700R with my firebird but I would never put a hitch or tow anything with my T/A WS6. It redneck and Ill be the first to admit it but hey its a 96 firebird 5 speed thats paid for and has the 3.8 with is a great motor. It gets 30mpg on the highway and it beats having to always borrow somebodies truck. I think its funny when people look at me because im "that guy" but they dont know what sits at home in the garage
btw the little 3.8 tows like a champ
