853 head porting.
I have a set of 853 heads sitting around from my 200 dollar ls1 I bought recently. I was thinking about porting them since I haven't been able to sell them. I'm competent but want to do this right. I've watched a few videos. I think I'm just supposed to blend the bowls and pretty much just clean up casting flash. Is this correct? Is there anything else I need to look at? How do you do a 5 angle valve job? Is this something I need to send it to a machine shop for? Will this improve power? And what about valves? Reuse the old ones after cleaning or get some SS valves? Thanks!

P&P work can vary A LOT. . . .
I did a cylinder head before, just cleaned it up. Took out the casting marks, polished the runners up a bit.
I thought it was decent untill I seen a cylinder head done by a pro. They cut the valve guides, ported it so far that it did not look like the original metal work then polished it to a mirror finish. The metal looked like art, made mine look like a joke.
