Default LSA Advice

I'm in the midst of my first engine conversion and I have a cam I like, but have a few questions. I have a mostly stock LQ9 with some valvetrain and exhaust upgrades. The cam I'm looking into is the Comp 265HR high lift, its 212/218 .558/.563 on a 115 LSA. I'm been considering have it done on a slightly tighter LSA since this is a mostly stock truck engine, its not going to do much past 6,000 anyway. From what I know about LSA, a tighter angle will give more in the middle range and less up top and have an effect on idle and drivability characteristics. My questions to those with experience here:

How linear is the power tradeoff with a tighter LSA? Am I going to average 5 more horsepower in the middle range for every 5 I lose at high rpm?

Is a 112 LSA much of a tradeoff in driving qualities in comparison to a 115?

And last is a tighter LSA here indeed a good choice since this cam is listed as a 1500-6700 rpm range? Or are there other factors I'm overlooking.

Note: this is going to be a mainly weekend toy/cruiser that will on occasion be taken down the strip

The one thing that it should help would be street manners. I have an MS3 on a 114LSA and it suprisingly does well under 2000rpm. Mine is in a 408 which also helps a little. But truthfully I would go alittle bigger on cam selection though. A 212/218 is going to make a little extra power if that is what you are looking for. I would almost say go with something in the 224/228 or 228/228 region in a 114-115 LSA to make a noticable power difference. The idle on the 212/218 would sound a little above stock in my opinion though. With cats and a muffler, you probably wouldn't even know it ws there if you didn't know what you where looking for.

I think your right about the bigger size cam. I want a power gain without raising peak power rpm a whole lot. I'm probably gonna end up getting a custom grind, selecting the "right" cam is beyond my knowledge.
