Default Back pressure

my truck(sig) has Cats but that's it, did I lose torque by taking away back pressure?

Just cats, no muffler or anything? I think this is how it works....

Back pressure isn't really necessary, just exhaust velocity. You want to have exhaust velocity, which is basically enough flow to not be restrictive but not more than necessary

....Or at least that's how I think it works....there's a lot of threads on here with a ton of information from the guys that really know their stuff. If you try a search, I'm sure you'll find something.

I think there was a link a while back to a test of different exhaust setups, and no muffler tested lowest in HP. I think it probably depends on the setup.
