Hesitation during accelleration
So, I've been having some slight hesitation while accellerating lately. I've noticed it's been between 1800 and 3000 RPM's. I used some MAF cleaner thinking that was the issue with no luck (did help my MPG though since I had some plastic bits stuck in the wire filter in front of the MAF sensor. Cleaned it off and it helped so it was useful either way.
BUT I found the real issue to be my fuel filter. Using the walkthrough from installuniversity.com I changed it out. Well, out of curiosity today I cut it open to see how nasty it was inside. I used a dremel tool the day after to let the fumes dissipate. Probably not a smart idea in hindsight and definitely do not recommend doing this, but I did it with no issues.
Here's a pic of the fuel filter. I have no idea how long it was on the car, but I'm glad I swapped it out. Anyone know if this is better or worse than normal?
