Default valve cover bolt torque

Couldn't find the actual torque value for the 4 bolts on each valve cover - I have a 2002 LS1 Camaro.

Any help would be appreciated. I looked on the how2ls1.com site at their specs but didn't see this one.

thanks!

I just tighten them by hand with a small ratchet, just snug don't go overboard on them

Thanks thunderstruck507. On the LS1Howto.com torque spec it has:

Valve Rocker Arm Cover Bolts - then it list the spec as 106 lb in

first of all is that the same as the valve cover?
and second the 106 lb in is that the same as 8.3 ft lbs?

I tightened them to 8 ft lbs. Thats not too tight?

thanks again!

snug should do it.. you are just trying to get a good seal with the gaskets.. you are not trying to keep immense clamping force on it
