Default exhaust ?

have a ls1 ss

is the stock catback a 3" or less?

would i need a reducer to make it work with a 3"
y-pipe?

What kind of exhaust are you putting on? Most aftermarket exhaust kits have a merger that allows it to fit over the factory y pipe. I believe stock size is 2.25 or 2.5

yea i think stock is 2.5 inch.

I had 2.5in welded on to the back of the stock shorty manifold and it looks a little bigger then the stock pipe. I would guess its 2.25in

...and the stock Y-Pipe has that disgusting flat slot on the driver side, get rid of that crap!

...and oh the joy once you put a new Y-Pipe on there and it starts beating the crap out of your under body. Then you'll know its time to do motor mounts, and have fun with that my friend.
