Default LT's+ stock exhaust

00 Z28 if I run LT's with off road Y and the factory catback how much power loss vs a performance aftermarket catback with LT's?

~5-10 h.p. It is going to sound like **** be prepared for that! I ran SLP longtubes with the stock Z/28 catback a couple of years ago. Certainly didn't sound like a muscle car it was way to high pitched. My friends laughed and called it the Ferrari. At least spend $30 and buy a manual cutout.

Yeah, it sounds pretty flat with the stock muffler. I would ditch that for something better, even if you don't do a full catback.

As for power loss, that all depends on your other mods. A heads/cam engine will lose a lot more power through a stock muffler than a factory engine will.

I could only hope that I had a car that sounded like a Ferrari...

... because then I would be driving a Ferrari.
