computer tunning
the car i am going to buy, 98 T/A, has computer dune to it where the the Egr is deleted out and the transmission shifing id firmed up and the timing is set ahead and the gear ratio is set up for 3:73s but has 3:23s in it, my question is if i buy a power programer can i set the stuff back to normal or will it just add on tomp of the programs thinking it is stock?

you can use an HPP3 to adj. the gear and shifting settings. the tuning option on the HHP3 power program bumps timing but i dont think you can seperately adj. timing. you cant do anything about the EGR with HPP3
i'd go with predator if you want a hand help programer or spend the money and get hp tuner or edit.
when tuning its best to start fresh, so i'd get your pcm reflashed with a stock tune and then go from there.
