Nope - just patience - I highly recommend a gear wrench though

All you need is a 13mm wrench. I've never found that part to be difficult. On the other hand, unplugging the exciter wire on top of the case is quite a pain.

Default I Have an 02 WS6 with the Darn Alternater on the bottom

I had to use an open end wrench and had to turn a little then take wrench off and flip and put it on the other direction and just kept at it until it came off, needless to say I did not replace that PITA bolt, I just left it off, no trouble since, also I found that if I removed the fans I could get it back on better because I strip the first two bolts and had to go to NAPA and get some Starter bolts to go in it.
