Default Installing FTP lid..98 camaro question

Hi,

Just a quick question. I ordered an 98- 99 SLP lid
for my 98 z28 but they are out of stock. They have
told me that they could substitute the SLP lid for
an FTP lid.

Now my question is , I still have (and hope to keep) all
my factory sensors that plug into the stock lid. Does
the FTP lid just bolt right onto all the stock stuff without
any issues like the SLP lid?

Thanks for any answers. The SLP lid just seems a little more
straightforward in the description so I hope I'm not going to
get something that's not compatible with the stock 98
setup...

a lid is a lid is a lid, regardless of where it comes from. they are mostly all the same and provide the same provisions, mainly the air intake temp sensor that plugs into the lid itself. some lids do not have holes where factory AIR system can be reconnected but most people do the AIR delete anyway as you dont need it. if slp is out on that one site you are looking for and slp is the lid you want, there are dozens of places you can buy it from. ws6store for example or even summitracing.com or jegs.com

Thanks, I guess to clarify: as long as the FTP lid will work on the stock setup that is my only concern. If it doesn't,well that will be annoying!

just make sure the lid you bought will match your MAF size, but most do so your probably fine bcuz most people here dont even bother going to a "100mm" MAF as it is a waste of money, so most lids fit to stock MAF and if they are built for bigger MAF's like a 90mm or a 100mm one they will say it.

An ftp lid does not have provisions for the IAT sensor. It can he drilled for one but you have to do that yourself. Also, like said above, you will need a new MAF, run SD, or get a reduced to run your stock MAF.

I have the old lid off my car with the iat provision. It is for a stock maf and in perfect condition. $60 shipped gets it. PM me if you want my paypal and pics... I bought it new from RPM but I don't remember what brand. I took it off when I went bigger on this motor...
