Default Need help with Y-Pipe....

Hey,it's my first time posting on here,i dont have an LS1,but i have an F-Body. I was hoping someone could give me some ideas. I have an 84 bird that i swapped in a 5.7,it was a 2.8. I am on a budget, lol. I went with a Flowmaster Force II catback, all 3 inch and Dynomax Blackjack headers, shorties of course. I found an aftermarket y pipe at the junkyard ,2 1/2 to 3,but im having trouble making it fit,and im getting frustrated,I dont have the money to get a new one,and anyway i cant find a y pipe for those headers. Any suggestions?

You might be able to have a muffler shop that bends pipe do a custom for ya, or modify the one you got?

I'm sure a muffler shop could tweak the one you bought and make it work...

Thanx alot guys, I think thats what im gonna do. Like you said with the mandrels,im sure i could make it work by chopping and welding... but theres no sense in making it ugly when i paid some money for a good exhaust system.
