Default 2004 LM7 Questions.......

I purchased some 243 heads milled .030 to put on my 2004 LM7 truck.

Question I have is - which head bolts do I buy? I did some research and it looks like they had both versions of the LM7 motor in 2004 - 275HP and the 305HP. Does this make any difference to the head bolts? Meaning, there is the bolt kit that has some long bolts and some short bolts, and the bolt kit that is all long bolts.

Additionally, which head gasket thickness is stock? .054"?

When I go to replace the heads, what else should I be checking on while Im in there?

post this over on performancetrucks.net, im thinking youll need the 04 and up head bolts. not sure about stock head gasket thickness.

I did - response was "I went to the dealer and bought the gaskets".

But if I want to go a bit thinner, I'll need to know what Im starting with. Dealer wont help me with that.
