Default with regards to ls3 5.3 or ls1 engine 5.7

Hi all I'm new to this forum ,I hope someone can help me ! with regards to the
l33 5.3 truck engine all aluminium or the 350 ci 5.7 fitted to chevy Camaro 1997 0nwards which one is the lightest .I have a Range Rover classic county 4.2
and i am looking to fit a chevy engine .there was a company called Overfinch that used to do the conversions ,but not anymore if there is some out there that could help with details of required engine plus adaptor required for gearbox ,will be gladly appreciated thanks

So your question is... What is heaver the aluminum 5.3L or the aluminum 5.7L ?

If so, they would weigh very close, with in 5#'s of each other.

Also the 1997 Camaro didn't have a ls1, it still had the LT1. The corvette received the ls1 first in 97.

Yep. I think both would weigh the same. The 5.3 has more meat it the cylinders, but the ls1 has larger pistons.

I would put my money on them weighing exactly the same.

you mite get the 5.3 cheaper ,and the truck intake is a little better flowing then a ls1 intake.I would use the engine ,trans ,and transfer case and the ECM from the right truck .you can do a stand alone ls1 engine with a elderbrock ls1 intake/ignition system.

Default with regards to 5.3 L33 engine/lm7/lt1

Hi there,
To all you knowledgable people out there!, with regards to the above mentioned engines which one do you thing would be best suited for the range rover classic . i have gathered that the 5.3 l33 /lm7 are truck engines. which one is best suited for my application ,your responses eagerly awaited
