Default Over torqued??

I changed my rear diff. fluid the other day and like an idiot, didnt check the torque specs till i was finished, the bad part is i didnt use a torque wrench. I tried to get close to the amt. of force i needed to use to break the bolts lose, to tighten them again. Found out torque spec afterwards was only 22ft. lbs. I'm going to find the torque wrench tonight and if i did overtorque it, my question is...if i go to losen it to 22 say for example from 30 or 35 will the gasket get too lose since i squeezed it tighter and then start leaking? Thanks.

Your best bet is just to leave it alone. Any damage that could be done is all ready done. If nothing stripped when you tightened the bolts then your fine.
