oil change light it's been on for about 1000 miles. i changed the oil about 3500 miles ago (synthetic) and the last time the light came on was about 5000 miles ago. wtf? should i change the oil, or just reset the light and change it when the synthetic is due?

Just reset it and change it when the synthetic is due. Mine just came on after 6000 miles since the last time it came on, in which time I've changed the oil twice. The light is more for people who don't keep track, so I just reset it whenever it comes on.
