Hi across the pond,
Has anybody out there removed the whole air con from a 99 etc z28?
We dont need it in UK and it only drains power & adds front end weight.
Will it throw up any DTC codes etc
Any advice will be welcome

are u talking about AIR? it's the hose from ur air lid to the two metal hoses leading to ur manifolds. if this is what ur talking about, then u'll need some block off plates for the manifold and just tear it all out. i think on 01 and 02 there's a vacuum that needs to be plugged at the collection part where the two metal hoses join together. you can then remove ur AIR pump located below the driver's side headlight. u WILL throw a code if u do this, however, it wont affect the car any. an SES light will come on, but u can do like i do and ignore it! i hope that's what ur talking about and let me know if u have any questions. enjoy.

I meant the A/C system, condensor,accumulater etc but leaving the heater intact.

how the hell do you park an fbody? When i was in london the fools would key any nice cars, and most of the mid sized suv's had to curb park lol.

well at least gas isn't as expensive as say amsterdam

Lukily in Manchester we don't have as many sad assed people as London.
Plus if you drive a half decent Euro car it gets stolen and trashed,the no brainer theives can't even start a yank auto never mind drive it
