You can also buy the ls6 coolant line and plugs and you dont have to do anything to the intake, intake will work with or without the foam

The foam is used to keep debree away from your knock sensors, FYI.

When we did the swap we just put in the front pad too keep debris out.....back left open to run out any moisture and not trap it in with better air circulation.

On the topic of LS6, can anyone verify this is an LS6 intake from this pic, or are other pics needed? Also, anything look wrong? Thanks!!

Yes, that is an LS6 manifold as it is flat on the bottom. The LS1 has a rise down the middle. I would also request the part number from the side of it to make sure.

Here is a pic from when I swapped mine. The left is LS6 and right is LS1

I done this swap about 2 weeks ago I chiseled the fins on the bottom where the lines run it went back on with out a problem, but when removing the stock I did brake the oil pressure sending unit (even though I tried not to) might want to have one on hand just in case if you dont use it just return it (rent the install tool for it while your at it)

as for the foam pads they come with the new gaskets so you dont have to worry about where to get them from so why not just put them back? ($19 from autozone felpro)

taking my time it was 4 hours for me and a tube of Neosporin
