Well depending on what gears you have a nice torque converter with good tuned shift points would be a better choice than the cam by itself.

What rear end gears do you have? Is the car a daily driver?

Well if you plan on doing a cam at some point a steeper gear along with a good torque converter and a tune would greatly enhance the overall performance. There are also simple mods like like a ram air, ported TB, underdrive pulley, etc...You could also do a LS6 intake if you don't have one now

There should be a serial number on the intake. I google searched my number to confirm. Unless someone put one on your ride before you, you won't have one because it was only standard in the 2001 and 2002 models

I'd recommend just saving up for now, wait till you have a few more bucks saved up and do something meaningful

I hate replies like this...

If you luck up and get used crap stuff for CHEAP:
Headers- 200$
New o2s/extensions- 40-70$
cam- 200$
springs- 50$
pushrods- 70$
intake- 250$

Not to mention all the gaskets and fluids you need... Along with oil pump and timing chain being HIGHLY recommended. You have to have a converter and then a tune as well because of the cam.
You blew the budget by a LONG shot. And that was with stupid dumb cheap prices. Chances of you finding stuff that cheap is slim.

My recommendation and in my strong opinion the best mod BY FAR for you... A torque converter. I recommend PTC.

525$ shipped with a cooler. Can be swapped in a day and a tune isn't mandatory.

Yea a converter should make a huge difference. Do that and then some LCA's., relocation brackets and maybe subframes from founders.

long tube headers and a good mail order tune would be a pretty good investment but I would hold off on tune if you plan on doing more mods
