Default Are the 2005 and up 6.0 blocks stronger?

I know 2005+ 5.3 and 4.8's have the stronger rods/floating pistons etc... Are the 6.0's the same way? Or are they the same internally from 99 thru current?

(not talking about different head/cam specs, just the rotating assy.'s)

-Thanks!

Mid 04 they went to full floating rods on the lq4, which would be the only difference. The LQ9 always had floating rods. So, to answer your question...older lq4's had the pressed pin rods. As far as strength, I wouldn't put my money on it being stronger to the point it would effect any build plans. Meaning, I wouldn't feel any more comfortable upgrading to the newer rods.

Ah gotcha... I know the 5.3 2005+ rods look physically larger. Wondering if the 6.0's were the same. I know the floating pins were to solve the piston slap issues. Not sure much strength could be had there. But the rods look much healthier to me.

This shows pre 2005 and 2005 + difference....

It does look like a beefier rod, but again, I wouldn't count on it to be an upgrade in terms of useable strength. Like, if your current rotating assembly was at it's known limits, swapping in these rods won't help you much, assuming the rods to be the weak link.
