98 base T/A diff fluid?

Default 98 base T/A diff fluid?

Ive been reading all over the forum to find out what fluid I can use in my 98 trans am..it has 2.73 axle with lsd..can I use the redline 75w90 synthetic gear oil and add in the gm additive? also what carrier would my car have..Ive read all over that ls1 trans am have torsens and ive also read that 98s have auburn and 99+ have torsens..which one is it? My rpo codes for the rear end GU2 and G80 if that helps

'98 rear is an Auburn, while '99+ is Torsen.

For the '98 rear, GM specifies 80w90 conventional plus a bottle of GM LSD additive. This is all I have ever used in my '98. I have never tried the synthetic.
