gen lll or gen lV block?
Hey guys new to ls builds. About to start my first ls build, ironically enough its going in the first foxbody I ever owned. The fox that started my obsession with foxbodys. Anways to cut to the chase. I got a deal on 2 really good blocks. One is a 2002 5.3 and the other is a gen lV. My question is which one is the better one to go with. Is deleting the dod expensive? Also what other differences between the should I know? They are bare blocks. I plan on stock crank forges rods pistons and it'll be turbo. Thanks

Also I don't have a harness. Whats the best one to get. Should I go aftermarket or get one from a junkyard? If from junkyard is there a particular one I should look for 'I.e' camaro, truck, suv, etc

the stock rods in 05+ are stronger. the fuel injectors and knock sensors are different. dod delete is about $300 I think. you might some issues with the electronic tb in the gen IV. gen three are cable but you could always change that. really whichever is in better condition.
