Smile ls1 rockers arms- anyone used these?

Hello,

I am a newbie, rebuilding my Ls1 motor. The motor will be mated to an A4. Got a great deal on Forged Pistons and H - rods. Crank only needs to be polished.

The top end is Stock 243 heads, with a Texas Speed camshaft and spring kit.
Cam is the 224R (224/224, .581/.581, 114 LSA) Going with new GM LS7 Lifters #12499225

For the Rockers arms - any suggestions - I found these and was wondering if anyone has used these.

Also, ColoradoSpeed has a LS1 Rocker arm retro kit that uses the Comp Cams trunnion kit.

Thanks for the recommendation.

Stock rockers with the Comp trunnion upgrade is what I use and recommend. I can't speak on the quality of these I have never seen them or used them.

Those look like some type of re-designed stock replacement set up.

I wonder how well the bearings are retained. Looks like a press fit. If thats the case the shield could come off and you lose the bearings just like a factory set up.

I would say stay with your stock rocker's and do the trunion upgrade. perfect combination for what you are putting together and will be doing with the car.

In my opinion a rocker arm is a rocker arm. but just like anything else it depends on what kind of hell you are putting them through. but if i had to choose lunati has some pretty wicked setups for a pretty good price.
