Default PCV Hose

I have a vacuum leak from my PCv hose. What is the best route to take to fix this problem. I'm seeing used pcv hoses for sale for over $100. And I'm not sure that it comes with the pcv valve with it. Is there a cheaper and better alternative to repair my intake?

Replace the hoses with fuel line hose. Go to a local auto parts store and get a new PCV valve. There a cheap item.

Or you could buy a catch can set up and redo the entire PCV and keep the oil out of the intake. All depends on how much $$$ you want to spend.

would fuel line be reliable? I know the factory pcv hose is not. What kind of prices am I looking at for the catch can setup? I assume catch can is a much easier fix.

The most affordable and easiest fix would be to use rubber fuel or heater line. That's how most people fix this issue. I personally used it as motivation to do the 2004 LS6 PCV upgrade (take a search through the Gen III External as well as the General Maintenance forums).
