Default Throttlebody adapter and throttle cables

Hello,

I recently installed my LS6 intake along with the BBK throttlebody that came along with it. Well The BBK also came with a downsizer (80 to stock, which seems to be pretty useless). Anyways with this 1cm long adapter my cruise control cable wil no longer reach the attaching point on the cam. Is there a way to extend this wire so it will reach now?

I already tried to remove the adapter and just use the throttlebody but the bolts supplied are too long and bottom out. The stock bolts are too short as well. Am I going to have to get new bolts? Since I got this throttlebody with the manifold I would really like to use it, but I guess I could go back to the stock one if I have to...

The spacers are supposed to come with a bracket to move the cables closer.

Just get some bolts the correct link or cut the ones that are too long with a dremel.

maybe this is to obvious but halfway on the throttle cable there is a connection, if you unhook then rehook it will change cable length which worked for my throttle body install. i was shocked and amazed it was that easy for me. hope that helps.

I tried to delete this thread after I posted it as a.) I found out on BBK's website includes the adapter Thunderstruck mentioned and b.) I decided to get different bolts. Got it mounted now just without the reducer bracket.

However just curious but I couldn't seem to find this hook you mention. My cable just goes straight back to the firewall. They have these on A4's with cruise control correct?

my throttle cable kinda loops back over the engine then past the trans dip stick. very close to the dip stick is a plastic snap about 3" long which kinda grips & hold the length of my cable in place. unsnap its loose, then snap its tight.

Ya, those aren't on mine at all. It loops up and over the trans dip stick etc but just goes straight to the firewall. The cable jacket is darker than that of the cruise control cable to maybe its been replaced? I don't know. Doesn't really matter to me now as it's mounted and running fine.

I think only cars equipped with Traction Control have adjustable cables.
