Default Suspicious Clamp on Hose

Can someone please take a quick look at their stock(ish) Ls1 and tell me if the hose above the belt drive and to the left of the power steering pump has a suspect looking clamp in between 2 hose pieces like mine in the photos? I'm going to change the belts and want to replace this with one piece of hose if someone did this as a temporary hose fix. Thanks.

Looks like throttle body coolant bypass.Somebody put a brass barbed fitting in there. If you do a search, its a pretty cheap and popular mod.Not much for performance tho. $0.02

Yup TB bypass. See that nipple above the line? That's where it went previously

Thanks guys! I wasn't familiar with that mod. That one metal clamp hangs awfully close to the pulley though.

I would go ahead and make the big 7 dollar investment in one piece of hose and some new clamps.
