I jus bought my camaro a couple months ago and when I got it I was looking it over and was trying to figure out why the heck would the previous builder would put these huge chamber heads on a 5.3. The only thing I can come up with is they were jus trying to make a quick sale or they were planning on doing forced induction and these heads were the best bang for the buck to use for a forced induction application. If any one can help me figure out some mysterious on my car without the ability to take it apart.
Also if anyone knows how I can check to see if the heads are ported and polished with the intake manifold off it be great if you could give me knowledge!

Probably a cheap replacement for whatever was on there before.

All you have to do is look at the runners once the intake is off, you'll be able to tell if they were ported or not.

Yea I thought so too, I am pretty sure there is no real reason for these heads on that 5.3 as far as benefits go.
