Default ? About buying 799 heads

I've been looking to get a set of 799 heads and then getting them ported through advanced induction.

I've been toying with the idea of bumping the displacement up to 383. If I go with ai's best port job, will they still flow well with the increased displacement? Or am I better off looking at other heads?

Also, a lot of the heads I've seen on eBay are listed as having minor dings/scratches. If I'm getting them ported, should I really worry about those?

They should flow ok for a 383 but I would put more money into your head choice. You'll pay the same price for 799/243's here as you will on Ebay but I would prefer to do it from somebody reputable from here.

If you're on a budget sure the 243/799 head is a great option but with the extra cubes you could do a much better heads, make more power, and still have excellent drivability
