Fuel system cleaners work. Which one works good/better/best? Dunno. I use several of them in turn. Eventually, everything will clean something and there'll be nothing left but shine!
I'd never use anything in my oil, though. Good, clean oil doesn't need anything.

i use the upper cylinder lubricant and fuel injector cleaner. When i put it in, I on average, get about 20 more miles to a tank, and then it gradually decreases after i stop using it. I usaully run around 19 to 20 mpg, but with lucas, i get close 22, so I highly reccomend it.

Any oil or gas additives
Hey everyone! just happened to stumble across this site. I wanted to share my experience with my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, all stock. I have never been pulled to try any type of additive for my Jeep, although i have thought about it sometimes. Anyway, my 04 now has 174,000 miles. During those years and miles I have NEVER added Any additive to the oil or gas. I have always had my oil changes done every 3-4,000 miles at the stealership for around $29.95 for 5 quarts Mopar 5w20 and Mopar filter. I have had all maintenance items done, coolant, diff fluids, tranny, plugs, throttle body, etc you get the point. Don't know if top tier gas makes a difference or not, but I have used Exxon 87 since day one. I never had an issue with that gas so I want to believe "top tier" gas helps. I had to get an intake gasket replaced around 160,000, I asked to see the intake portion with it removed, there was very little to no buildup of any deposits of any sort. I was pretty surprised and happy as well. Bottom line I feel, if you keep up with maintenance items, oil, fluids etc. and after 170,000 miles with no additives, why would anyone waste there money on "extra" additives? if your already using high quality oil, fluids, and gas, they are doing what they are supposed to do.

I used this stuff in the Camaro....and really got rid of small valve ticks on cold start up. Still has small piston slap....

Sadly I have to agree with the guy that joined the site to post in a 9 year old thread and talk about his Jeep. Just do your best to buy Top Tier rated gas and never put anything in your oil and your car will be happy.
