Default Cam options?

I have a 383 being built right now with some 799 heads and it's an ad looking for a cam that'll start building power around 2k-2.5k I was thinking 228/232 112+4 at around 580 lift but still unsure anyway I can make 420 rwhp with a ls1 intake and a good flowing exhaust? Or 11s in the quarter with a 2k stall? Lol I know. I'm asking for a lot but I know there are some cam gurus out there lol

Honestly Id PM Martin Smallwood or one of the other vendors let them spec a cam for your application.

Your best bet is just to do searches on 383 setups on this site. You will see endless results.

Me personally, i would go a bit bigger on the cam and stall.

I run LS6 heads, TSP 233/239, and a 4000 stall. This combo is easily daily drivable.
