706 heads on boosted 5.3. Ok i got a few questions I'm building a 2000 scsb s10 with 8.8 rearend and a 30 over 5.3. My question is i had the deck cleaned up 2 or 3 thousands and bored 30 over at same time. Now that I'm going to get the motor I'm wanting to drop my 706 heads off for BIGGER VALVES !! BUT idk how big to go and if the need decked to theirs another 2 or 3 thousands just say a total of( 6). I'm wanting to run flattops but I'm scared now because of compression being to high for a 70mm turbo! I'm not sure if I should just do away with the turbo or what ! Can somebody help me out here ! plus I'm not sure if I should run a flattop with valve relieves or not does anybody have any time building one of these motors ? Help would be greatly appreciated thx!

Just swap to a different set of heads. 706 heads are the least desirable LS head unless you include the old iron 6.0 heads.
Pretty much every other head outflows them and has a larger chamber.
